Smock and cap have turned up at last! The buggers only posted it yesterday! Smock definitely needs some camo work, its grey... Cap takes some figuring out too and its a bit snug with the flap folded. The label is ripped out & I'm not 100% convinced its the right size.

I got one of the Mountain caps from them at the weekend size 7 1/4, only £15 and I was at the shop so could try it on, if that is any better for you I'll swap as I was just going to cut the flaps off with enough space to re-attach if needs be.

Yes I ordered the same. The fact that it was limited stock, with 7 1/4 now being out of stock and mine having the label ripped out males me suspicious. How does yours fit with the flaps folded? I can barely get it on my head.

It's tight but fits, I'll bring it along and if it fits better I'll swap with you

The trouble is I was planning to add foliage loops etc, to it. I think I'll just unstitch the liner, it seems ok without that. I shouldn't need it this weekend and it will be easier to reattach than the flaps. Thanks for the offer though, and I think I'll try yours anyway just to check.

Good call, I've been looking at my webbing and it just feels like its missing something like can loops.

You should also have electrical tape which you can use for this.

Foliage is the issue. Last time I was there is was a bit thin on the ground. The conifer forest is just needles on the floor.

However, there are options, depending on where the Germans are.

At churchills it was mulchy pine needles, moss and felled branches underfoot, similar time of year.
